A quick blast with the air hose and an accent is left for the edge. The inside is not too bad given the nature of the cutter the piece, and a rather poor photo.
Both are seen a little better here. I have hollowed the piece leaving an "island" to be removed with the straight tool.
A different perspective. Note that I have cut the long strands with a sharp carving knife to facilitate sanding. Push the knife into the work to prevent pulling the strands.
